(UN)VEILED is an interactive, multi-arts exhibition, which will inform and raise awareness of sex trafficking. The vision is to, “take action against sex trafficking. To make ‘visible’ the realities of trafficking and bring this ‘invisible’ world to public attention: unveiling the truth.” The project is being managed by Daisy Carr and Morna White from The Arts University College Bournemouth with support from Love 146 and Cross Borders Initiatives.

As one of the ten artists appointed to the project, I will be producing a piece of work that reflects the project’s aims and that hopefully allows the public to connect with the victims in a personal way (ultimately to provoke a change in attitude and motivation into action).

The exhibition will be held in Poole from the 15th -17th April (private view 14th April), location details to follow shortly on the (un)veiled website. The project has a strong educational nature; subsequent to the project dates it has the potential to tour around schools and campuses and to exhibit in other locations.
