Cave of Forgotten Dreams
To mark the end of the exhibition CAVE (that is currently showing a number of my skull based works), ASPEX gallery have an exclusive free screening of Wernor Herzog’s acclaimed film Cave of Forgotten Dreams.
The film follows an exclusive expedition into the nearly inaccessible Chauvet Cave in France, home to the most ancient visual art known to have been created by man. It’s an unforgettable experience that provides a unique glimpse of the pristine artwork dating back to human hands over 30,000 years ago – almost twice as old as any previous discovery. Guardian film critic Peter Bradshaw awarded the film 5 star rating, calling it “a tremendous film“.
23rd Jan, from 6pm, Aspex Gallery, Portsmouth
