Earlier this month the MAKE/CREATE exhibition took place – a collaborative project between Griffin Gallery and Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust. Contemporary artists were paired to work with a craft scholar from QEST to create a new work for the Crypt space. I collaborated on a piece with scholar Melissa White who specialises in painting period cloths for museums such as Shakespeare’s House.

The installation was designed specifically for the space and explores our relationship with value and authenticity. It collapsed notions of real against fake, low and high value, and bought together specialist craft, mass production, and contemporary art.

As part of the exhibition we were also interviewed by Culture Trip. You can read that interview HERE
